Overview
Relaxing, fun, and memory-filled vacation days are in your future when you book Both Sides Of The Sun. This oceanfront, 8-bedroom estate makes the dream of beach living a reality with a private walkway to the Atlantic, a pool area designed for relaxation, and a gathering area on each level of the house. The great room offers uninterrupted views of the ocean and the sound from any vantage point. The open concept between the dining area and kitchen allows your group to spend time together all from one central location of the home. You and your group will enjoy over 5,000 square feet of beachfront space that includes decks on both the east and west side of the home, eight bedrooms - six of them with their own private bathroom, and five of them with sliding door access to a deck. With the amount of deck space Both Sides Of The Sun has to offer, everyone will have room to enjoy watching the sun rise in the morning with a cup of coffee, and then watch the sun set in the evening with a chilled beverage. Beach days are easier than ever with a walkway over the dune, and a dune top deck with built-in seating. If the beach isn't on the agenda for the day, a dip in the private pool is only a few steps away. The poolside hot tub is where you can unwind after each day, before you make your way to your bedroom that is furnished to feel like home, even when you're away from home.

Updates for 2026: Heat pump added to pool for optional pool heat. Various bathroom showers upgraded to frameless glass walk-in showers. New tile backsplashes in kitchen and media den kitchenette. TV added to ground floor bunk room.
Updates for 2025: New furniture in great room, the middle level den was converted to a rec room with a shuffleboard table, game table, and a larger smart TV, all new pool furniture.
Updates for 2024: The kitchen was renovated to make the area functionally larger and more modern. The renovation included new cabinets, countertops, lighting fixtures, the addition of an undercounter beverage center, the cooktop was converted to a 5-burner gas range with a double electric oven, and new LVP flooring in the kitchen and dining area.
Pool: Pool heated by heat pump. Ambient air temperature of 60 degrees or higher is needed to heat the pool, meaning that if the temperature drops below 60 degrees the pump will not continue to heat. Max pool temperature is 80 degrees.

EV Charger: A payment of approximately $0.45/kWh is required to use the onsite charger. Payment is made via a QR-code available on the charger at the house.

As you make your way up to the second floor, you will be engulfed in views for as far as the eye can see. To the east is a wall full of windows showcasing the Atlantic. To the west are large picture frame windows that highlight an uninterrupted view of the Currituck Sound. A naturally lit, welcoming great room invites you to stretch out on the wrap-around sectional, or kick your feet up in one of the lounge chairs. A large Smart TV with a surround sound speaker system makes the great room the perfect place to watch your favorite movie or catch the big game.
An open floor plan between the great room, dining area, and kitchen allow for your entire group to spend time together on the second floor, even if everyone is doing something different. Not to worry, no matter where you are on the top floor, you aren't far from a deck that offers a spectacular view. The dining area includes a large dining table with seating for 14, and a sliding glass door that leads out to a deck that overlooks the pool area and looks onto the ocean.
The kitchen is equipped to feed a crowd and will not disappoint the cook of the group. Quartzite countertops, stainless steel appliances, views of the ocean and the sound from one space in the house, need we say more? There are two sinks, two dishwashers, a double oven, microwave, refrigerator, wine cooler, Keurig, and standalone icemaker. In addition to the dining table, there is bar seating. The views are never ending in Both Sides Of The Sun, and the decks are just as abundant. Watch the sun rise over the ocean from the east-facing decks, and catch some epic sunset views over the sound from the west-facing decks.
Bedding on the second floor includes two kings with private baths, both with Smart TVs and sliding door deck access (one to an oceanside private deck, and the other to the soundside deck). The unique touches of this home are finished off with three floor to ceiling hand-painted murals that bring to light the simple joys of being at the beach.
