Overall, one of the best houses we've stayed in. Layout was perfect for our group; plenty of table space on top level for dining, games, and storage. Rec room on middle level was perfect for the cousins. Pool was awesome. Love Pine Island for community pool we can use upon early arrival. Also made use of pickle ball courts.

This was our 1st family vacation to OBX. It was a fabulous vacation for everyone in our group from 4/yrs to 80/yrs. We look forward to visiting again. All questions were answered very timely & all staff very friendly & professional.

Everyone we spoke with was so friendly and helpful, answered all of our questions. Overall our experience was excellent. We had parents, grandparents, kids, grandkids, friends all staying at this beautiful home. It was well equipped with everything we needed. Beach access was great and loved the cabana set up daily. The top story deck that over looks the ocean is a great place to hang out. The kids loved the pool table, game room and theater. Thank you for a wonderful week, we hope to do it again.

Many nice areas to gather together, but also enjoyed the many private bedrooms!

Loved having 2 large kitchen sinks! The kitchen seating was great!! Also really liked the seating/furniture in the living room. Rec room was also great.

Someone just handed me the keys to Breakwater and said they were mine. I pretended not to hear the "for the week" part. No place that I'd rather be than sunning and running on this OBX spot on a gorgeous property with great hosts and spectacular accommodations. This location is in the perfect spot. We are close to the 4x4 as well as major shopping areas. The house offers every form of recreation both in and out of the water and every convenience possible. We want for nothing in this fully equipped house complete with elevator. Vacation takes on a new meaning in this beach house.

We love our Breakwater vacations. We rarely leave the house as it has everything we need: beach, pool, hot tubs, theater, game room, dream kitchens and large gathering spaces for meals and fun. We love the location and are close to outside activities, shopping and restaurants. The house is always immaculate and in great working order. It is as pristine as the area it sits in. We love our time at Breakwater. See you in September.

Fantasy Island on an Island! We can't ask more from this statuesque mansion on the beach. From the heated pool to the beach and ocean, the large screen TVs to the home theater, the hot tubs to the game and arcade room, and doubles of every appliance imaginable, we have everything we need to bask in the beauty of the modern chic and nautically themed setting. Can't forget to mention the stunning deck with breathtaking views and 24 hour lighted poolside party area. The staff that maintains this "self contained resort" demonstrates their expertise at superior maintenance, immediate service to any request or inquiry and ability to anticipate every guest's desires. A washer failed while we were there and a new one appeared in less than 24 hours. We had musicians come to perform and due to spaciousness, they had their choice of set up locations. Breakwater is a comfortable, stress free and ideal location our group relishes every year. When asked if we had any recommendations, we offered one and the very next season it was in place. Breakwater delivers everything for a perfect OBX vacation. We'll be returning once again.

We appreciated all of the little touches provided by Carolina Designs from the dish soap and scrubbers to the ease of check-in and check-out. We really didn't need to do much except show up for vacation! And that's the way it should be! Thank you!
