Overview
Located on the oceanfront in Nags Head, Whitecaps offers 3,100 square feet of living space, seven bedrooms, a fully-fenced private pool, hot tub, rec room, and more! Undoubtedly, you and your vacation group will enjoy your beach getaway while staying here. The great room, kitchen, and dining area on the top floor offer uninterrupted views of the ocean, painting the east wall in the natural beauty of the horizon. The private pool can be heated for an additional fee, and many loungers and chairs are positioned around it to ensure you get the most out of your sunny vacation days. Located between the house and the fence that surrounds the pool is a hot tub to end each evening relaxing in. A gate door from the pool fence leads to a shared set of steps that take you onto the dune and towards what everyone visits the area for - the beach! Being only a half mile down the street from Jennette's Pier means walking around the exhibit or dropping a fishing line into the ocean is easy as can be.

Pool: Pool heated by heat pump. Ambient air temperature of 60 degrees or higher is needed to heat the pool, meaning that if the temperature drops below 60 degrees the pump will not continue to heat. Max pool temperature is 80 degrees.
This home is located in an area that will receive beach nourishment in 2026 to widen the beach. Learn more about beach nourishment. All beach nourishment info is subject to change.
Interested in a shorter stay? This property allows partial stays during the months of April, May, and September through December (non-holiday weeks). Please note that there is a 3-night minimum. Call our office to book!
Our offices will be closed on December 25, 2027 for the Christmas Day holiday. If your 2027 lease check-in date is on Christmas Day please note that we will work to make special arrangements to alter your check-in date.

The ground floor has a rec room with a pool table, flat screen TV, and a wet bar with a sink and wine cooler. Two bedrooms offer four bunks (three twin bunks and one pyramid bunk). Two full bathrooms are on this floor, and both are accessible from the hallway.
A door from the rec room leads out to the covered deck area where the hot tub is. Through the fence is a 24x12 private pool, poolside seating, a gas grill and charcoal grill, and a picnic table. A gate door from the pool area exits to a common area between Whitecaps and the neighboring house. They share a set of steps that is a beach access that leads straight onto the sandy beach of Nags Head.
We would most definitely stay here again and are considering rebooking for next year! The house was very well put together and loved everything it came with. The high chairs were perfect for my family as well as all the kitchen utensils, pots, and pans!
Everyone was so helpful and understanding. Overall everything was great. We love our time there!
The Carolina Design Team Members were always very helpful and generous with their time when I called. We will rent through your company again for the next family vacation.
You have a very easy process, which I love. We've been coming to OBX for 30+ years and have been renting from CD for about five years, I think. Easiest process to date!!
