Overview
Located on the oceanfront, in the quintessential beach town of Nags Head, Exta Sea is an amazing option for your next Outer Banks vacation. Offering two rec rooms and a theater, nine bedrooms, all with a connected bathroom, and a large gathering area with an open concept floor plan on the top floor, your vacation group can come together to make unforgettable memories and still have their own private space to rest and recharge each evening for another day of vacation fun.
The private pool area has more to offer than just a refreshing pool for your days in the sun. There is a bubbling hot tub, a sheltered poolside cabana with seating, and many loungers to stretch out and relax all week! A private walkway to the beach is enhanced with a dune top gazebo that offers uninterrupted views as far as you can see north, south, and east. The sun comes up over the ocean and sets over the sound, and with decks on both sides of the house, you don't have to miss the amazing colors in the sky that both create.
Not only does this house offer a great location being only a short walk over the dune to the beach, but it's also conveniently near a shopping plaza that includes a Food Lion, as well as some popular local restaurants, shops, and an ice cream spot.
Updates for 2025: New great room furniture, the great room fireplace was redone, fresh interior paint throughout, new AV equipment including a Sonos speaker system on the top floor deck, new screen and stereo equipment in the theater room.
Pool: Pool heated by heat pump. Ambient air temperature of 60 degrees or higher is needed to heat the pool, meaning that if the temperature drops below 60 degrees the pump will not continue to heat. Max pool temperature is 80 degrees.
Seasonal Cabana Service: Service dates for the 2026 season are 05/02/26 - 09/19/26. This home receives beachside cabana & beach chair set-up services during your stay. This complimentary service includes one 10x10 cabana tent and six beach chairs. Set-up hours are 10am to 5pm daily (except check-in/check-out day), weather permitting. This service is not available for partial-week stays and is subject to local ordinances. Service provided by Farmdog Beach Services. Additional add-on services and other rentals are available upon request for an additional charge.
EV Charger: A payment of approximately $0.45/kWh is required to use the onsite charger. Payment is made via a QR-code available on the charger at the house.
Special Access Amenities: First floor shared bathroom has a low barrier shower with seat and grab bar as well as a roll under sink. Please note that none of our homes are ADA compliant. Contact our office for additional information.

The rec room on the ground floor has a shuffleboard table, a mounted flatscreen TV, many seating options around the room, and a kitchenette with a refrigerator, commercial icemaker, sink, microwave, dishwasher, and Keurig. Around the corner from the rec room is a small room with a mounted TV and a large beanbag, making this room the perfect spot for young travelers to turn on their favorite show or movie and relax.
A door from the rec room leads out to a covered deck with seating that overlooks the pool area. There are many amenities that vacationers have come to appreciate while staying on the oceanfront. To mention a few - a private pool that can be heated, a cabana area for shade, a hot tub, a private walkway to the beach, a dune top gazebo, outdoor showers, a grassy area, and poolside seating and loungers.
Bedding on the ground floor includes two king bedrooms with private baths with walk-in showers and a bedroom with two pyramid bunks with a private bath with a shower/tub. Laundry facilities are located on this level.
Please note the stormwater pipe in the gallery photos - the town recommends not swimming within 200 feet of the pipe.
