Overview
With a name inspired by the progressive rock band Yes's song, Wonderous Stories, this dreamy oceanfront retreat will transform your vacation getaway into a revolutionary experience. Carefully designed to accommodate the needs of those traveling in large groups, this home offers four levels and just under 10,000 square feet of indoor living space, an elevator, intimate suites with private baths, ample gathering areas for entertaining and recreation, and resort-style outdoor amenities. This central Kill Devil Hills location is ideal for sightseeing and offers quick access to dining and shopping options.
Updates for 2025: All new mattresses (except for second floor bunk room), all new bedding, new sofas in great room.
Pool: Saltwater pool heated by heat pump. Ambient air temperature of 60 degrees or higher is needed to heat the pool, meaning that if the temperature drops below 60 degrees the pump will not continue to heat. Max. pool temperature is 80 degrees.
Please Note: The outside showers and cabana will be winterized/not available for guest use from the week before Thanksgiving to Easter.
Special Access Amenities: Two king suites offer bathrooms with roll under sink and barrier free showers with grab bars and seats. One is on the ground floor, one is on the first floor. Please note that none of our homes are ADA compliant. Contact our office for more details.

The ground level features a wonderful flow of bedrooms with flatscreen TVs and private bathrooms, and indoor entertainment spaces. Four bedrooms are furnished with king size beds (one offers a bathroom equipped for special access), and a children's suite is furnished with two double bunks. A laundry room and half bath are centrally located. Movie buffs will flock to a vibrant private home theater room with tiered seating for ten, big-screen TV, and surround sound. Those with competitive spirits will gather in the oceanfront recreation room outfitted with ceramic tile floors, a billiard table, foosball, mounted flatscreen, and a bar with sink, refrigerator, microwave, second mounted flatscreen TV, and bar seating for five.
Rec room doors open to a host of elaborate outdoor amenities. A sparkling custom saltwater pool and a bubbling hot tub are the focal point. The pool deck is lined with lounge seating for relaxation under clear coastal skies. A kiddie pool is available to young travelers for splashing water play. Respite from the sun can be found at the poolside cabana with bar seating and a rooftop sun deck with seating. Two gas grills and prep station with an outdoor sink are available, and informal BBQ meals can be served hot off the grills. When the sea is calling, stroll the private walkway that meanders to the rooftop gazebo with built-in seating to overlook beach activities and beyond to the sandy shoreline and frolicking waves.
