THE CROWN JEWEL Oceanfront in Kill Devil Hills

The house and views were exceptional. It was exactly as advertised! Every department - from reservations to maintenance- was exceptional. One overlooked dept in my response is IT - the website was simple to use, the electronic door locks simple to use, the communications were excellent through the different channels (email, text, etc). I booked my reservation online, but before doing so, I had numerous conversations with staff. Everyone was knowledgeable and courteous. The check in process went as smooth as peanut butter! Absolutely flawless. Considering how heavily used/rented the house is, the cleanliness couldn't be better! Almost all of my guests commented on the conditions and we are a finicky group. We were impressed with the working order of everything. Maintenance needed to be called for a couple of reasons, the response from staff was quick, courteous and professional. Maintenance showed up FAST!

Overall we loved the house. This was our 29th year coming to OBX and now making new memories for our new grandchildren.

The house was well equipped with kitchen aides, bowls, ect. The owner spared no expense setting up for cooking for many people.

We have spent 4 weeks with CDR and have loved every single visit. The Crown Jewel is a fantastic home. Well appointed, clean, comfortable and spacious. You cannot find a better vacation then to gather 20 to 30 family members, friends and make a trip to OBX. Renting from CDR provides an exceptional experience with folks who value your vacation time as much as you do. Am already planning our next stay.

The Crown Jewel is a beautiful home and the location is very convenient! It was perfect for our family! We hope to return in 2019 for another family reunion.

The reservation staff was amazing! Everyone I spoke to over the course of the year had all the information that I needed. Couldn't have been more confident in the staff and impressed with their knowledge of the house and procedures of the reservations requirements. So wonderful! We were "stalking" the cleaning crew while they were getting the house ready and the reservation staff sent me an early keyless code for the house when they were done! So wonderful to have that kind of quick communication! This house (230 - The Crown Jewel) is HUGE! The cleaning crew, pool crew, landscaping and maintenance were all on their A Game. The house was ready for our big event and everything looked wonderful! I spoke to Marshall mid-week about some items that we found that weren't working properly but told him that it was no rush to repair as nothing was affecting our stay. The house was great! Everyone that came to our event while we were there spoke highly of the house but we made sure that they also knew that the Carolina Designs were so easy to work with and in their future vacations should be booked in one of your houses. I know that we will be back soon! Thank you for everything, it was a magical week!
