Overview
Let Blue Beacon Retreat be your shining guide to an Outer Banks vacation experience of a lifetime! Treat your group to three levels of superb finishes and upscale amenities. The outdoor area creates an oasis for entertaining, including a custom oceanfront pool and two hot tubs, a covered patio with outdoor seating and dining, a cabana tiki bar and bath, and a private beach boardwalk with a dune deck leading to the blue waters of the Atlantic. This prime oceanfront estate features panoramic ocean views, a luxurious great room, an elevator, bedrooms with private baths, a recreation lounge with a sports bar, and a cinema-style home theater. The home design creates a wonderful flow between private bedroom suites and various entertainment options to capture the attention of all ages in your party. This home is professionally decorated in coastal shades and stylish furnishings. All bedrooms provide LED flatscreen TVs with access to Netflix (using guest's account), Hulu, and other internet capabilities. Each bedroom has a private bath with oil-rubbed bronze fixtures, and several offer custom tile showers. Located in the Whalehead community of Corolla, this home is close to the Timbuck II shopping area, which offers boutiques and eateries, grocery stores, and activities for all ages.
Updates for 2024: A second hot tub was added in the pool area, an electric vehicle charger was added outside (see more information below), new LVP flooring in all of the bedrooms, fresh interior paint throughout, new kitchen cooktop, new 8-seat sectional sofa, table with stools, and rug in the great room.
Pool: Pool heated by heat pump. Ambient air temperature of 60 degrees or higher is needed to heat the pool, meaning that if the temperature drops below 60 degrees, the pump will not continue to heat. Max. pool temperature is 80 degrees.
EV Charger: A payment of approximately $0.45/kWh is required to use the onsite charger. Payment is made via a QR-code available on the charger at the house.
Special Access Amenities: A ramp leads to the front entrance of the home, and a mid-level king has a bath with a barrier-free shower and roll-under sink. Please note that none of our homes are ADA compliant. Contact our office for additional information.
Special Events Welcome: $3,000 special event fee and $3,000 refundable security deposit are required for all special events. Maximum of 150 attendees, including the guests already occupying the home. A maximum of 50 people are allowed on decks. Are you reserving this home for a wedding or special event? Please contact our office to inform us of your plans. TVs: The TVs throughout the house have Roku installed. Guests access cable television through the installed Spectrum app; no login is required.

Furnished with a pool table, swivel chairs, a mounted flatscreen TV, and a sports bar equipped with custom maple cabinetry, a refrigerator, an icemaker, a dishwasher, and bar seating for four. The ideal gathering area for favorite films and sporting events is in the private 8-seat home theater, where guests are treated to cinema-style tiered seating and an 80" Smart LED flatscreen with movie mode and surround sound. A half bath is available in the rec room and serves as a cabana bath for those outdoors. A bedroom with a TV and private bath is furnished with two queen beds, offering flexible bedding for teens and young adults or for use as a family suite.
Doors lead from the rec room to a vast array of outdoor amenities for your recreation and enjoyment. A custom pool with stained concrete surround and integrated landscaped grounds is the focal point of outdoor luxuries. A sheltered patio provides respite from the sun, and the poolside cabana bar has a sink and drop-in cooler to keep drinks chilled and within easy reach. Covered and sun decks are made from low-maintenance Trex decking in a Spiced Rum hue and provide the perfect overlook towards the Atlantic. Your private beach boardwalk leads to the sandy shoreline, and the dune deck is ideal for overseeing beach activities. As the sun sets, gather in the two soothing hot tubs under nighttime skies to reflect on the day's events and plan tomorrow's adventures.
