Overview
Restful vacation days are ahead at Happy As Clams, a 6-bedroom Corolla retreat in Section D of the Ocean Sands community. With a host of popular amenities and the Atlantic at your doorstep, you and your family will find everything you need for both comfort and entertainment. Happy As Clams boasts a great location -- community tennis courts, multiple grocery stores, restaurants, and shops are within a short drive, and you won't be far from sightseeing favorites such as the Currituck Lighthouse, Whalehead Club, and 4WD beaches of Carova. Guests of this home can also enjoy access to the Ocean Sands community tennis courts.

Pool: Saltwater pool is heated by heat pump. Ambient air temperature of 60 degrees or higher is needed to heat the pool, meaning that if the temperature drops below 60 degrees the pump will not continue to heat. Max. pool temperature is 80 degrees.
The Currituck Club: Guests of this property enjoy discounted green fees at The Currituck Club. This 18-hole championship golf course was designed by award-winning Rees Jones, featuring a sprawling green that offers tranquil views of the Currituck Sound and edges through maritime forests. Call the golf clubhouse at (252) 453-9400 (press 1) to reserve your advance tee time as soon as you book your reservation!

Tennis: Guests in Section D of Ocean Sands have access to tennis courts located in Sections D, F, and J. The Section D court is located at the corner of Marlin Way and White Whale Way. The Section F court is located at the corner of Sandfiddler Trail and Surf Song Lane. The Section J court is located at Seabird Way. (Please note that the Section J court is separate from the private Swim & Tennis Club courts and pool located nearby, which is not part of this home's amenities.)
Special Access Amenities: The top floor king has bath with low-barrier shower, seat, and toilet grab bars. Please note that none of our homes are ADA compliant. Contact our office for additional information.
Security Camera: This property has a camera installed on the front door, as well as a ring spotlight and camera installed on the front of the house facing the driveway.

Our offices will be closed on December 25, 2027 for the Christmas Day holiday. If your 2027 lease check-in date is on Christmas Day please note that we will work to make special arrangements to alter your check-in date.

The ground floor layout begins with a rec room, featuring a pool table, arcade machine with 71 games, cozy sofa seating, two TVs, and a kitchenette with microwave, sink, and full refrigerator, ideal for additional snack and beverage storage. Ground floor bedding includes a room with two twin bunks, and a second room with two twins. These bedrooms each have a TV and they share a hall bath with the rec room. Outside, the private saltwater pool provides a refreshing place to cool off, there's a picnic table for afternoon snacks, and an outdoor speaker system means you'll always have tunes available. An outdoor "cabana bath" is conveniently located poolside. Spend long summer days beachside (community beach accesses are just two lots in each direction), afterwards unwinding in the private hot tub as the sun starts to set.
