Staying in Corolla, Duck, Southern Shores, Kitty Hawk, Kill Devil Hills, or Nags Head is all good choices, as you are sure to be close to all that spring on the Outer Banks has to offer. If you are a foodie, the multi-day Taste of the Beach festival is sure to please, with tastings, cooking classes, and chef competitions. If you love a small-town community parade, the St. Patrick’s Day Parade can't be missed! A local highlight and great way to celebrate the spring season is the Fly Into Spring Kite Festival, showcasing kites up to 100 feet long flying high above Jockey's Ridge State Park!
