Celebrate Independence Day on the Outer Banks
Details about Celebrate Independence Day on the Outer Banks
The Fourth of July is a day defined by freedom, fun, fireworks, and unforgettable memories, and there’s no better place to celebrate than the Outer Banks. The excitement begins early. Over in Duck, the annual Fourth of July Parade takes place on July 3rd, featuring decorated golf carts, colorful floats, live music, and plenty of red, white, and blue spirit. The town of Corolla is holding its Independence Day celebration and fireworks on July 3rd in 2026 as well. On July 4th, a visit to Island Farm in Manteo offers a step back in time. The farm is a living history site that recreates life on Roanoke Island in the mid-1800s. Later in the day, downtown Manteo hosts more family-friendly Independence Day festivities.
As the sun begins to dip, excitement builds. Family and friends gather by Avalon Pier, Nags Head Fishing Pier, and the downtown Manteo waterfront for the evening’s fireworks displays. Every burst of color and booming echo becomes a shared moment you’ll be talking about long after the fireworks end.
