Overview

Tucked back on a large lot just north of the village of Duck, Sounds Duckin' Awesome has been designed to enhance your vacation fun with an unbeatable layout, amenities aplenty, and an amazing location right on the water. Primary features of this home include a soundside private pool with a wet deck and hot tub, a dock with a private gazebo and nearly 100 feet wide beach area for accessing the sound, an elevator that travels through the three main levels, a theater room with tiered cinema-style seating, a rec room with pool table, Smart TVs throughout, whole-house sound system, electric vehicle charging port, and a dog run. Seven bedrooms (five with private baths) provide space for large or multi-family groups to stretch out and have their privacy, while roomy common areas provide a space to gather together both indoors and out. The Carolina Dunes community beach accesses are within walking distance, and the shops, restaurants, and activities offered by the town of Duck can be easily accessed by a short drive or bike ride along a multi-use path.
Discover why vacationers love staying directly on the sound. From this home's expansive west-facing decks, you're in for some of the most epic sunset viewing on the Outer Banks. Plus, you can easily launch a kayak or stand-up paddleboard to enjoy paddling in the waters of the Currituck Sound, which are often far calmer than the ocean. This owner provides a stand-up paddleboard, a single kayak, and a double kayak (guests must provide their own life jackets).
Community Note: The Town of Duck has beach equipment policies to help keep visits to the shore enjoyable and safe.
EV Charger: A payment of approximately $0.45/kWh is required to use the onsite charger. Payment is made via a QR-code available on the charger at the house.
Pool: Pool heated by heat pump. Consistent air temperature of 60 degrees or higher is needed to heat the pool. Max. pool temp is 85 degrees.
Special Access Amenities: This home has an elevator, and a mid-level bath offers a roll-under sink, a low-barrier shower, grab bars, and a shower seat. Please note that none of our homes are ADA compliant. Contact our office for additional information.
Special Events Welcome: $1,500 special event fee and $2,000 refundable security deposit required for all special events. Maximum of 50 attendees, including the guests already occupying the home. Two carport spaces are available on the ground floor, providing a covered entry into the lower level and a hard-wired Juice Box Level 2 Electric Vehicle charging port for guest use. Two common areas focused on entertainment are central to this level: kick back in the home theater room, which offers seating for ten and a large flatscreen TV, or play some pool in the rec room, which includes a kitchenette with a refrigerator. The bedding configuration is ideal for kids or young adults. One bedroom offers two twin beds and shares a full bath with a second bedroom with two custom built-in double bunks (double bed over double bed). A convenient cabana half bath with washer and dryer connects to both the rec room and pool area.
Sliding doors lead from the rec room out to the back yard featuring a private pool, hot tub, outdoor sitting area with TV, marine radio sound system, outdoor shower, grill area, cornhole, and artificial turf yard. The pool has the option to be heated and includes a shallow wet deck. The owner also provides a stand-up paddleboard and two kayaks (a single and a double; please bring your own life jackets) so you can spend time on the sound! And for your furry friends, a dog run is available with an autofill dish! A beach cart is provided to make your walking to the beach much easier.
