Rebooking Policy
In the first quarter of the new year, we open the calendars for all our homes for every available week for the coming year. This allows guests of Carolina Designs Realty to book or pre-reserve their vacation as far in advance as possible.
Our valued guests with a consecutive two-year history in a home or five or more stays with Carolina Designs have their week held automatically for the coming year. Action is only required once we have the rates, at which time we will contact you for payment.
With the coming year’s calendars open, all guests can place an advanced hold on the property and week of their choice while the rates on that home are being finalized.
Guests can waitlist properties as well.

- When will rates be available for the coming year?
Each home is individually owned, so the timeline for posting rates varies. If the rates have yet to be posted, you may secure a week with an advanced hold for any available week in the coming year for $50. This hold is not a lease but does hold the house and the week exclusively in your name, subject to the owner renewing our management agreement and establishing the rates.
- Will there be any preference given to repeat guests?
Yes, as a valued, loyal guest, if you have stayed in the same property 2 years consecutively or 5 years overall with Carolina Designs, then we will automatically reserve your same week in the coming year based on your current-year stay.
- Does this mean we do not have an effective “right of first refusal” to book our current home/week?
First right of refusal is no longer offered, but this change allows you to secure your plans more than a year in advance. We used this approach for several years with our 10+ bedroom homes before implementing it across all home sizes and found that being able to book a home more than one year in advance works well for many.
It is important to note that if you have stayed in the same property for 2 years consecutively or 5 years overall with Carolina Designs, then we will automatically reserve your same week for the coming year based on your current-year stay.
