OBX Art & Craft Festival: September 9 & 10, 2026
The OBX Art & Craft Festival is an annual indoor event featuring 24 Outer Banks artists and three local charities doing great work in the area: Network for Endangered Sea Turtles (N.E.S.T.), Coastal Humane Society, and Beach Food Pantry. The arts and craft vendors’ items include paintings, jewelry, photography, basketry, fiber arts, mixed media, glass, and more. The event spans two days; note that the Wednesday hours are 10:00 AM – 5:00 PM and the Thursday hours are 10:00 AM – 4:00 PM.

Kitty Hawk Pier is operated by the Hilton Garden Inn and is located right next door. OBX Arts & Craft Festival attendees can purchase a pier pass at the hotel’s front desk for a gorgeous elevated view of the waves rolling onto the beach. If you have an appetite, there are some great food options right across the street from the hotel and pier: Duck Donuts, High Cotton Barbeque, and Vilai’s Thai Kitchen. (All come highly recommended!) If you’re feeling inspired to create after taking in an afternoon of arts and crafts, Island Art Supplies is right beside the restaurants.

OBX Arts & Craft Festival is an annual event locals and visitors look forward to each September. It’s a great opportunity to meet Outer Banks artists, see their creations, and pick up a variety of unique gifts and souvenirs.
