    Christmas Craft Village: November 27, 2026

    The Christmas Craft Village is an event held annually at the Historic Corolla Park grounds on the first Friday after Thanksgiving. Expect to see a variety of arts-and-crafts vendors, fine art, handmade items, baked goods, and other treasures that are sure to help you knock out some of your holiday gift shopping. Food vendors will be on site as well, so you can grab a bite while you browse. More details will be released closer to the event.

    Explore The Area

    Historic Corolla Park is a great spot for the whole family to explore. The park is home to the Currituck Beach Lighthouse, Whalehead, Outer Banks Center for Wildlife Education, the Currituck Maritime Museum, nature trails, and a soundfront pier. You can even crab from the wooden boardwalks at the park, and a fishing license isn’t required if you use the basic string and bait method (no hooks) or a collapsible crab trap that lies flat at the bottom of the water (as long as the largest open dimension is smaller than 18 inches). 50 crabs per person is the limit.

    The Currituck Beach Lighthouse and museum shop are typically open from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM through November 30. Whalehead is a restored residence originally built in 1925, and it begins its annual Candlelight Christmas Tours on November 27th (reservations required).
