Guests who reserve Dune Our Thing enjoy classic coastal decor with contemporary features, sumptuous furnishings and ten beautifully appointed bedrooms, nine of which have a private bathroom. Thoughtful amenities ensure vacation days are filled with invigorating entertainment and relaxed leisure to create lasting family memories. Enjoy sipping your morning coffee on the shaded oceanfront gazebo, and sip an evening drink on the outside dining area, where you can enjoy both sunrise and sunset views.

Updates for 2024: All new TVs, the carpet was replaced with hardwood flooring in the first and second floor northeast bedrooms, new carpet in the remaining eight bedrooms, new flooring in rec room, new refrigerator in rec room kitchenette, new sofa in the theater room, new island and beverage fridge in kitchen, and new landscaping in pool area.
Pool: Pool heated by heat pump. Ambient air temperature of 60 degrees or higher is needed to heat the pool, meaning that if the temperature drops below 60 degrees the pump will not continue to heat. Max pool temperature is 80 degrees.
Seasonal Cabana Service: Service dates for the 2026 season are 05/03/26 - 09/20/26. Service dates for the 2027 season are 05/02/2027 - 09/19/2027. This home receives beachside cabana & beach chair set-up services during your stay. This complimentary service includes one 10x10 cabana tent and six beach chairs. Set-up hours are 10am to 5pm daily (except check-in/check-out day), weather permitting. This service is not available for partial-week stays and is subject to local ordinances. Service provided by Farmdog Beach Services. Additional add-on services and other rentals are available upon request for an additional charge.
EV Charger: A payment of approximately $0.45/kWh is required to use the onsite charger. Payment is made via a QR-code available on the charger at the house.
Special Access Amenities: This home provides a king bedroom with a bath equipped with roll-under sink and barrier free shower. Please note that none of our homes are ADA compliant. Contact our office for additional details.

The ground level opens to a recreation room with cork flooring, regulation size pool table, media area with sofa, arm chair, big screen TV and Wii gaming system. Move next door to cheer on your favorite team or savor classic movies in the home theater equipped with seating for six guests, a large flatscreen TV, and surround sound. A sports bar is centrally located to these amenities and features granite countertops, sink, refrigerator, dishwasher and seating. A laundry room on this floor provides one washer and dryer unit. One private bedroom is available and is furnished with a double over double bunk bed and flat screen TV. A full bathroom is across the hall and is accessible to those in the rec room and home theater.
Rec room doors open to oceanfront outdoor amenities. A custom pool, with inset 6x6 kiddie pool and color LED lighting, promises hours of day and evening enjoyment. Two gas grills are available. A poolside cabana bar with seating offers respite from the sun. Venture onto the private beach walkway for seashore exploration, and a shady dune-top gazebo provides a sheltered haven to overlook beach activities. Two outdoor showers and a cabana half bath complete onsite conveniences.
This was our 5th time renting from Carolina Designs and our 3rd time renting this home. We would not hesitate to rent from them again.
The beds are comfortable and nicely made. We really enjoyed ourselves at this house. The decks are wonderful. All the lounge chairs around the pool was very nice. Very comfortable. Inside the house was great!

Our vacation was fabulous thanks in part to the beach rental unit. It was perfect! My wife and I have owned a six bedroom house on the third row of Whalehead Beach for thirty years and it had served my wife and our four children well. We have vacationed in Corolla for thirty- nine years! But now with eight grandchildren we have outgrown our home which, thanks to Carolina Designs, we were able to spread out in yours. We have already reserved for next year and would like to think we can continue to do so for eleven more years and celebrate half a century vacationing on The Outer Banks. Dune Our Thing was by far the most beautiful home we have rented in Corolla. This is our second time renting with Carolina Designs and again we were very happy with the experience. Everyone we interacted with was friendly and accommodating.

I actually followed Sea La Vie (former house name) from another company because we enjoyed the homes so much. Friends of mine saw my pictures and booked the house in September. First time dealing with Carolina Designs, won't be the last for sure! We are 40 year visitors to OBX (I was a child at the time!) So we have stated in many many homes. We'll be back for sure!
