Nags Head
Nags Head, NC is located south of Duck and Kill Devil Hills; with rolling sand dunes and un-crowded beaches stretching along the “old beach road” that runs the length of several towns into Nags Head. Nags Head is home to luxurious large ocean and semi-front homes, with multiple bedrooms, well-equipped kitchens, oversized great rooms, game rooms, theater rooms, elevators and private pools. Walkways provide convenient access to the beach and decks overlook stretches of ocean where guests can spot dolphins leaping as they move along the coast and take in colorful sunrises and sunsets.
Nags Head is also home to Jockey’s Ridge State Park, the tallest natural sand dune system on the East Coast, covering 426 acres and offering hiking, nature trails, picnicking, sail boarding, museum and visitor center. The Nags Head Woods Ecological Preserve, another local attraction, features 1400 acres of maritime forest, over 5 miles of trails, 50 species of birds and deciduous hardwoods hundreds of years old.
The town of Nags Head offers a mix of settings, with southernmost sections more remote and further from grocery stores, shops and activities. Locations further north in Nags Head are within easy distance to miniature golf, go-carting, a brand-name outlet mall, a wide variety of restaurants ranging from casual and take-out to fine dining and numerous small specialty shops.
