  Turkey Trot: November 26\, 2026\nThe annual Duck\, NC Turkey Trot 5K is
  a great way to get out\, enjoy the fresh coastal air\, and maybe burn a
  few calories before settling in for your Thanksgiving meal this year. L
 oved by locals and visitors alike\, this is a family-friendly event with
  a small-town feel and plenty of community spirit. Duck's Turkey Trot is
  organized by Outer Banks Track Club\, a 501C3 nonprofit.\n\n\nHistory o
 f the Turkey Trot in Duck\, NC\nThe Advice 5K Turkey Trot was held annua
 lly for 25 years\, with 2021 being its final year. In 2025\, the First F
 light Track Club (FFTC) revived this much-loved event. Established in 20
 24\, FFTC raises money\, awareness\, and enthusiasm for runners and runn
 ing sports in Dare County\, with a focus on student athletes. The First 
 Flight Track Club's 2025 Turkey Trot 5K was a huge success\, with runner
 s and walkers of all ages and abilities completing the course\, winning 
 prizes\, and enjoying the festive community atmosphere. The event was we
 ll-attended by the local community and vacationers alike.\n\n\nWhat to E
 xpect at the Duck\, NC Turkey Trot 5K\nEach registration comes with a t-
 shirt\, swag bag\, hot drink ticket for hot chocolate or coffee\, and a 
 Swells'a Brewing beer ticket for those over 21 years old. The fun includ
 es an event reception and post-event celebration at Tree House Cafe &amp
 \; Coffee in the Scarborough Lane Shopping Village\, charity auctions\, 
 raffles\, and post-race snacks. Packet pickup will be held at Swells'a B
 rewing's Duck Dive Bar at the back of the Scarborough Lane Shopping Vill
 age the night before the race. The 5K course begins on Christopher Drive
  near Scarborough Faire\, and the finish line will be near the starting 
 line. The first male and female race finishers will be awarded a prize\,
  and prizes will also be given out randomly!\n\n\nExplore The Area\nDuck
 \, NC is nestled between the Atlantic Ocean and the Currituck Sound\, an
 d it's considered the most walkable town on the Outer Banks. There's a p
 leasing variety of independent restaurants and shops\, a town green\, pe
 destrian and bike paths\, ample crosswalks\, and a long soundfront board
 walk that provides the perfect place to catch a sunset over the water. C
