Why do I need travel insurance? Travelers cannot afford to take unnecessary risks, especially in today’s economy.
The Vacation Rental Protection Plan can help if sickness, inclement weather, or other unforeseen circumstances prevent you from reaching your destination.
-
What about job loss? Does the Vacation Rental Protection Plan cover that? Yes!
The Vacation Rental Protection Plan provides coverage in the event you are either laid off or have your employment terminated, as long as you’ve been employed by
the same employer for at least one year.
-
The specific coverage is as follows: The Insured or Traveling Companion is involuntarily terminated or laid off through no fault of his or her own,
which occurs more than 14 days after an Insured's effective date of coverage, provided that he or she has been an active employee for the same employer for at least 1 year.
Termination must occur following the effective date of coverage. This provision is not applicable to temporary employment, independent contractors or self-employed persons.
Insurance is underwritten by National Union Fire Insurance Company of Pittsburgh, Pa., with its principal place of business in New York, NY .
The Policy will contain reductions, limitations, exclusions and termination provisions. All coverages may not be available in all states.
